Overview
Attention health system leaders! Will your organization be able to survive a flu pandemic or other health disaster? How does disaster preparedness planning fit in to your Continuity of Operations Planning?
Learn the answers to these questions, and more!
The Sonoma County Department of Health Services, in partnership with Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa, cordially invites health system executives to attend the next conference in our series of disaster preparedness training events, "Disaster Conference for Executive Health Leadership."
Conference Description
This all-day conference will provide participants with an overview of national, state and local disaster planning efforts. Emergency planning experts will describe the most current preparedness efforts and discuss how a health disaster could affect local agencies.
The morning session will include an overview of disaster planning for health emergencies from a national and state perspective, along with discussion of the County's disaster planning activities and the legal authority of the health officer.
During the afternoon session, your peers will share best planning practices from a variety of healthcare perspectives. The conference will conclude with an informal community conversation to consider how we move together toward greater preparedness. Participants will leave with an understanding of community disaster planning, connections to other local executive health leaders, and the confidence to take the next steps towards preparedness.
So join us and gain five benefits from your participation:
