Target Audience
MDs, RNs, PAs, NPs, and EMTs, first responders, hospitals, clinics, health departments, emergency medical services, extended care facilities, HRSA entities, and emergency preparedness planning partners.

Course Description
The objective of this course is to provide our regional workforce and community partners (EMS, police, fire, emergency room personnel, etc.) with key fundamental concepts related to the Incident Command System (ICS), the Standard Emergency Management System (SEMS) and the National Management System.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the chain of command for a county.
- Explain the need for an Emergency Response Plan.
- Describe two functional roles they would have in emergency response.
- List three functions of SEMS.
